Having secured a means of transporting the geraldy container to the UK and emailed Hugo at Geraldy regarding our proposals ,we have corresponded on various occasions over the past 10 days culminating in a long and informative telephone conversation with Hugo and his design /manufacturing team
Following these discussions it has became clear that it is highly unadvisable to have the container moved by a third party due to the high risk of twisting and non operation of shutter systems
Having taken all this information to hand our lorry will be delivered to geraldy once the yb season is complete and have all necessary works undertaken to allow it to be returned within 48 hours
To allow all shipping paperworks to meet EU laws Hugo asks that the lorry be delivered with our existing container intact removing any complications on our return journey .
Hopefully all extra funding can be secured to allow for a second set of baskets in the same order
Hugo said most of these would be loaded safely in the passageway with the remainder being brought to the Doncaster or Blackpool Shows
This gives the federation time to dispose/sell existing panniers and clear clubroom space as the window between old and young bird racing was to neat with on going national racing
The Geraldy will consist of the following-
80 aluminium crates 5 rows side by side ,8 rows high
crate dimensions to allow for grill inserts if and when purchased (these can be easily purchased direct from manufacturer in England ) 250h x 1050w x 900d
With middle corridor incl.LED lights and checker plate floor
With air ventilation system to each pannier
With drinking water system including water tank and drinkers
Electrically operated shutters
2 loading platforms which can be inserted and moved on the frame removing the need for ladders and damage to panniers
Any further information received from hugo will be updated when available
