Mr Danny Muir and his father Jim are kindly travelling over to Germany on the weekend of 11th/12th February to deliver our lorry to be fitted with our new container we thank them on behalf of the federation and wish them a safe journey
A date and venue will be fixed to allow all members the chance to inspect our new purchase in the near future
After a management committee meeting held in Eastriggs social club regarding the purchase of a second set of baskets it was agreed that with most of the funding currently in place that wheels should be put in motion to secure prior to the commencement of the 2023 season
We are awaiting the costing for floor grills and the committee will be notified of progress
Talks are ongiong regarding private sponsorship regarding re spraying of lorry and livery
The committee discussed the opportunity to have our old bird open channel race from Guernsey being convoyed with the Lanarkshire federation Race marking Tuesday 4th July Liberation Friday 7th July this was unanimously agreed to allow all federation members to participate if they wished to do so as the SNFC are only convoying members to channel races
The SNFC are racing from Brighton on Saturday 17th june it was agreed that the Solway federation race from Cheltenham (2) that same weekend if suitable numbers could be secured with members from other federations welcome onboard
I have since then secured a wonderful gift of £300 from 2 gentlemen from outwith the federation which will be put towards the running cost of Cheltenham (2) We thank them very much for their kindness
Our Lymm old bird race on the 6th May is the kings coronation and it was agreed that a suitable gift will be awarded to each club for the first nominated yearling timed I am confident of a sponsor for this event
