Stephen Allen has asked me to pop this information up regarding the Gold Ring Race –
Dear Members
Regarding the young bird gold ring race the process for this season is set out below for anybody wishing to participate.
Entry forms will be sent out to the clubs in the next couple of weeks.
The race point will be the young bird open federation race which at this time is Coventry.
Entry is £5.00 per bird unlimited.
This is to be paid to your club secretary along with entry form on or before race marking night for the first young bird race.
Prize money will be paid out at 80% to the winner and 20% to the first pigeon in the opposite section. In the event of only one pigeon in race time then that pigeon will take 100% and in the event of no pigeons timed in all entries will be refunded.
In the event of there only being pigeons timed in only one section then 80% / 20% will be paid out to the first two in that section.
There is also a shield to be presented to the winner each season.
Congratulations to last year’s winners Mick and Julie Currie from Moffat and thank you to everyone who supported the race in it’s first year. Hopefully we will have as much if not more interest this season.
Could I please ask if club secretaries would be kind enough to pay the Solway Federation by cheque, once members have put in their entries, and pass on entry forms via the transporter on the marking night of the first young bird race.
Hopefully plenty of people will be interested and it is a success.
Any questions please contact myself on the number below.
Good luck to everyone taking part.
Yours sincerely
Stephen Allen
